MA'AT in Mozambique

Work on peasant credit systems in Mozambique started 10 years ago in close collaboration with Aksel Naerstad from the More and Better Network, Luis Muchanga Coordinator of UNAC, the national peasant movement representing 18 million farmers, and Renaldo Chingore founder of the agroecology cooperative CPPAN.

An agroecology and credit project funded by SIDI and NorgesVel was implemented from 2019 to 2022 with the testing of the initial 14 Ma’at farmer groups.
