Digital platform

A mobile and web platform that helps community groups manage funds, enforce governance rules, and operate transparently through structured processes, shared data, and built-in safeguards.

Security, Control & Solidarity

Designed for Collective Financial Management

Mobile platform (Android)

The Ma’at App helps groups manage their activities and financial transactions in a structured and transparent way. Built around the Ma’at governance rules, the app guides groups through their meetings, records transactions, and alerts users when risks or inconsistencies appear.

Each group elects two registrars responsible for entering transactions during meetings. This shared responsibility ensures continuity and transparency while allowing most members to learn how the system works.

All group data remains visible to members, creating full transparency and accountability.

Web Application

The Ma’at platform is administrated at global level by the Ma’at Peasant administrators. They are responsible for the smooth and good functioning of the data recording and processing.

  • Multilingual (EN, FR, ES, GL, PT, ZH)
  • Customized for each country and each group
  • Trains, enforces transparency, encapsulates the rules
  • Checks and alerts to prevent errors or fraud
  • Keeps full history and logs

Governance enforcement tools

Good governance is what makes the group successful and long-lasting. Prior to launching the group, members negotiate and sign their Group Charter.

  • The boundaries on who can participate and what the group can achieve are clearly defined
  • Local cultures and ecologies determine group choices
  • Decision-making is based on the participation of all
  • Group leaders are accountable for the correct functioning of the group
  • The Group defines progressive sanctions for those not respecting the agreed Charter, with progressive warnings and fines
  • Conflict resolution procedures are based on early stage resolution. An external facilitator acts as moderator in case of need
  • The Group is known in the community and celebrates achievements at the end of cycle events
  • The Group is part of a larger Ma’at network locally and internationally, that supports and accompanies it.

Data transparency

  • Data is recorded in notebooks and group smartphone and is transferred to the server managed by the Ma’at administrators in the Ma’at Peasant non-profit (based in France)
  • The data is fully transparent to the group members and available at any point in time
  • No personal data collected or shared
  • The Group defines progressive sanctions for those not respecting the agreed Charter, with progressive warnings and fines
  • Privacy is guaranteed
  • Different levels of access to functions and data based on roles (administrator, manager, registrar, user)

Security & risk control

  • Platform OVHcloud (legally OVH Groupe SA) is a major French cloud computing and hosting provider. Serves millions of customers globally with cloud services, VPS, dedicated servers, and more. OVH positions itself as a European alternative to U.S. hyperscalers like AWS/Azure, with an emphasis on data sovereignty for EU users. OVH commits to complying with European data protection standards like the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which places strict requirements on how personal data is handled.
  • Security frameworks: The company maintains an Information Security Management System (ISMS) with regular internal and external audits, vulnerability scanning, and risk assessments.
  • Certain OVH services have high-level security qualifications like SecNumCloud, a certification from the French cybersecurity agency ANSSI for secure cloud offerings.
  • Physical data center security: Data centers have strong physical controls (badge access, surveillance, fire systems, redundant power).
  • Data Sovereignty
  • OVH does not access customer data unless expressly permitted, and when support or maintenance requires access, all actions are traced for accountability.
